Senior SAP Retail/AFS Analyst, End User, New York, New York, USA. My client a global name in the fashion industry is looking for a Senior SAP IS Retail / AFS Analyst to join their internal team. Ideally they are looking for candidates to have a minimum of 5+ years strong functional experience within SAP IS Retail and or the SAP AFS Solution preferably with a SAP Supply Chain or SAP Logistics background (SAP MM, PP, SD or WM).
Candidates should have the following experience:
Summary:
Responsible for resolving application, software and connectivity problems requiring on-site customer support. Understands customer requirements and recommends and/or implements system-based solutions.
Expectations:
Primary (Essential) Functions:
*Transfer business requirements into IT concepts and implement these into SAP Retail
*Support retail business processes and functionalities including POS application and systems; merchandise processes, such as allocation, goods receiving, store transfers, return to vendor
*Participate in the application support
*Analyze and solve application or configuration issues
*Manage and monitor systems communication
*Test application functionalities
*Work with team members to design, develop and optimize cross-module functionalities
*Liaise with the business as well as other IT teams to discuss, design and build robust/efficient solutions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Ability to interface with internal customer and IT Management and communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly
*Understanding of business processes as well as office & POS infrastructure needs
*Ability to apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems
*Ability to use words meaningfully in communication, thinking and planning; to speak and present information and ideas to individuals or groups
*Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; to prioritize and manage commitments and adjust to changing priorities
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
*Must have at least 5 years of experience with SAP Retail
*Wide experience in customizing SAP Retail
*Work directly with SAP on a technical level in order to solve application issues
*Experience analyzing business/technical problems and selecting or implementing IT solutions.
*Basic technical experience for debugging, designing and testing
*Basic knowledge of ABAP4 or ABAP Objects would be a plus
*Basic knowledge of standard tools, such as IDOC/ALE, BAPI/RFC, SAP Script, Netweaver XI
*Skilled in using applications to create/edit process flows, configuration, transports and decision trees
