Weird and Wonderful from the World of SAP

Following ever slightly on from my previous Blog post (SAP does Facebook) and also Dan Wills piece (SAP to coach England at the next World Cup) the online space seems to teaming with interesting and un-usual SAP bits and pieces, which I thought I would share with you.

First up is the SAP Business Object Explorer appearing on the iPad, take a look at the video below from the unofficial SAP Business One and small business evangelist Richard Duffy.

I have had the pleasure personally of using an iPad and as an Apple fan (not a fan boy) I enjoyed the experience. I completely see the benefit for professionals such as Doctors on rounds and those working away from terminals or on shop floors.

I know there are a few of you reading this out there, using an iPad for browsing this site. About 1.5% of our Blog traffic comes from the iPad and completely dominates our total Mobile traffic compared to other devices.

What I really want to know is anyone using their iPad or other tablet for day-to-day professional use, not just email and surfing?

Elsewhere in SAP land you may have seen their very funky and  cool (perhaps) Business ByDesign video.  Is this another example of SAP really trying to reach an even larger audience outside of the SAP ecosystem?

For those not in the know, Business By Design is SAP's solution for fast-growth companies with a pick and mix approach to modules... Just choose the what you want, when you need them.

SAP will even host ByDesign for you so, and I quote, you can “get ahead of your competition and concentrate on growing your business.”

Check out the video here:

Finally I bring you news (actually its more like 'olds' from June - if you like Ricky Gervais you'll know what I mean) that coming to a screen near you soon is ERP Undercover! Click here to find out more.
