I am really looking forward to going there this year, especially since I had some changes in my career and I’m now working for Red Commerce. Perhaps I will see things from the other side of the fence?
As ever I am looking forward to seeing all the new things SAP is coming up with and I will enjoy the good conversations with old friends I have met regularly at the past Sapphire’s. There are still a few with whom I can share the funny night at the Sapphire in New Orleans (1991) where a bunch of SAP employees took over the instruments of a local bar in the French Quarter and we had a great time with them jamming thru the night.
I am especially interested in finding out where the clarity has been muddled, what new direction SAP is taking. What will SAP on demand will give the customers and give us, the recruitment companies.
Also, where do cloud computing and blade computers lead the SAP world.
Is it true that in 2015 we will have blade computers with 84 processors, with a memory of 20TB and for the price of the monthly salary of a middle manager? On this blade you could run the SAP system for an enterprise like Nestle just straight from the memory.
Where is the SAP world going?
There are a lot of interesting questions to be answered; I hope we will get some answers at SAPPHIRE.
While I am there I would be very interested to talk to anybody who thinks they have the answer or even more questions?
