SAP Methodologies

Having worked with ASAP and ACN's methodologies, I would be interested in understanding what would be the preferred choice in an SAP implementation?

Also I am interested in understanding: are you using SAP's ASAP Methodology, a variant of ASAP or any other Consulting or non consulting Methodology?

Hi, In my opinion the methodology is very important -I will like to add based on my project experience that ASAP methodology works very weell with large projects -in addition I will like to add that Business Process Mthodology as a tool for success. The highest factor of success and this is the place where least emphasis is given is the area of Change Management. Experience Change Managers and Integration Managers should work hand in hand and work on risks and mitigation plans .

Hi Wolfgang, myself and members of the SAP Mafia are investigating the possibilty of researching SAP Implementation Methodologies, as part of our prospective PHD studies. Would you be able to give us some guidance, on the most common methodologies used, and who we can approach to sanction our research? Omar (SAP Mafia)

Hi Wolfgang, I tend to use a hybrid methodology that is dependant upon the strategy and plan, which is dependant upon the resources and end objective!

Hi Omar, I agree, your description of the key to success is right. I was just interested in getting peoples feedback and thoughts on which methodologies they are working with.

Hi Wolfgang, its been a very long time since I have been on a project where they used ASAP methodology. In my opinion, the methodology is not too important. The key to success is the relationship and interaction that the Client has with the Implementation Partner. QAP, Rejection, Communication channels etc. Omar (SAP Mafia)
